I am so happy that you have come to check out my blog. My name is Jaclynn and I am a 17 year old Christian homeschooled girl. I’m here to tell you about this blog and my mission here.
About the name:
As I was sitting at the computer, trying to think of a name, I was singing worship songs in my head. One of my favorites,How Can It Be by Lauren Daigle came to mind and I was listening for a title. The chorus goes like this:
“You plead my cause. You right my wrongs. You break my chains. You overcome.
You gave Your life, to give me mine. You say that I am free, how can it be?”
And then it hit. You right my wrongs. He rights my wrongs.
No one is perfect. I’m a sinner, I make mistakes. I let the things of the world consume my life and I put those things first ever so often. But no matter how far I stray, no matter what I do, God forgives me and welcomes me back to Him with open arms. He rights my wrongs.
My mission for this blog is to help me and other girls grow closer to God. It’s to help you and I to seek God first in our lives, no matter what.
It’s okay to enjoy things, but it’s not okay to let them rule our lives and bring us away from our Lord.
I honestly think this line from the song, Part of Your World sums up human nature perfectly: “I want more.”
We always want more and more in this world. We’re never satisfied. But God can satisfy us. We’ve become so a part of this world. The temptations are real, and they’re hard to resist. How do you become satisfied with what you have? With God’s help. Let’s strive to become what we were meant to be – Not of this world.
“Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.” Colossians 3:2
“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Romans 12:2
